Vintage Charm Features of the Week:

Cecilia’s Pick

Mary @ The Boondocks Blog is a clever lady when it comes to upcycling. This week she wows us with Upcycling the Milk Crate Table, and shows us step by step how she restored one of her favorite projects after it was exposed to winter's rain and dust. I adore the rustic simplicity--drop by and check out her beautiful work!

Heidi at My Sweet Cottage has a hard time ignoring any piece of interesting furniture that has been kicked to the curb but the day she saw this chair her inner voice screamed, "You idiot!" She took it home anyway and wisely decided to turn it into garden art. Go visit Heidi and follow her journey to bring a roadside rescue back to life and into one incredible piece of growing art work.

Carrie from Thirty Eighth Street refurbished a French provincial bedroom set from plain Jane to over-the-top-gorgeous. As an added treat, she provides a sweet back story to the pieces and their prior owners as well. Her  A Furniture Facelift: The Dixie Bedroom Collection  is a must read.

If you're a big fan of trays of any kind, as I am, then you'll just love the DIY Dutch Tulip Tray that Sarah, at 12 on Main created. I think absolutely amazing about covers it--love the vintage farmhouse vibe and the great instructions she provides so we can all make one of our own.

Just in time for Memorial Day, Debra at Shoppe No. 5 created the perfect patriotic wall art in:  What is Red, White and Blue with Chicken Wire?  Chicken wire plus pallet wood equals fantastic farmhouse style. Debra provides all of the details we need to make one of our very own.
