How to Root Herbs the Organic Way Plus DIY Bouquet Garni

Happy Wednesday, Friends! While buying organic may stretch a frugal lifestyle, growing your own organic herbs saves money and has countless benefits. In addition to cooking, I also use herbs as landscaping and often in my decor. Though they have a lovely delicate appearance, they are resilient and oh-so-fragrant. Today I'm sharing two simple and thrifty DIY projects featuring these green beauties.

Back to School Nostalgic Vintage Vignette

Hi there, Friends! As summer comes to an end, and kids head back to school, I am reminded of the scripture from Ecclesiastes:

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. {Ecclesiastes 3:1}

While those of you with kids still in school may be hunting uniforms and school supplies, it's also a time of year that holds fond memories for many. Today I'm sharing a few of  mine...

Tea Cups and Lace: Friday's Find #211

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This week's fabulous find happens to be two of my favorite things, because they remind me of my grandmother: vintage tea cups and lace. Lavender was her favorite color and I remember she had several floral tea cups in shades of purple. I love the delicate pansies featured on this one.  Available

Vintage Salt and Pepper Shakers: Friday's Find #210

TGITF Friends! This week's fabulous find is a fun assortment of vintage salt and pepper shakers I scored at a church rummage sale. The first set is unlike any I've seen before. It's actually one piece. The set featuring a dog with its house is designed in a way that only one of the shakers dispenses at a time.

Mosaic Garden Art as Camouflage

Hi there, Friends! Today I have some unique garden art to share with you. It's not so much the mosaic design that makes it unusual, but rather its unlikely location. I bet you can't guess where...

Friday's Find #209

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This week's fabulous features are an eclectic mix of vintage yard sale treasures. Usually when I pick up an old print, more often than not, it's faded, or just not my cup of tea and I've got my eye on the frame. However, that wasn't the case this time and I found myself really drawn to the art. I do plan to give the frame a little love, but it's a keeper. Can you believe it was just .50?
